The Cow Hunters Revisited- Bringing down the Bull

While orgainizing the Art Studio I found a work in progress and could not resist starting it again. This is the backside of a Florida Cow Hunter as he works in team to bring down a large wild bull that lived in the Everglades of Florida.

They use ropes and horses to do their work rather than guns. It is hard work but in the end the bull was unharmed and removed from the property where he was an unwelcome inhabitant.
I was fortunate enough to spend time in the Everglades with these incredible folks.

I will post excerpts of the work as I go. The painting is 24" x 36" oil on canvas and has multiple figures in it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
